MCS surveillance due
Lose MCS certification and the business stops the same day. No MCS means no Boiler Upgrade Scheme, no export tariff registration for customers, and no TrustMark. Nine jobs currently in flight are carrying £65,800 of grant that can only be redeemed against a valid MCS number.

Seven completed jobs have no handover pack issued. Every one of them is a job the assessor could pick. Assembling seven packs by hand takes a day; having them issue themselves on commissioning takes none.

Ryan Hallam's F-Gas ticket lapsed on 11 August and his team has installed two heat pumps since. Nobody knew, because the certificate is a PDF in a folder and the expiry date was in nobody's diary. Both jobs now need reviewing before the MCS assessor finds them first. This is the single clearest argument for the register: it is not paperwork, it is whether the work you have already invoiced was legitimately done.
