Nine jobs are booked to install before their grid approval is back, and two of them are this week. Sales sets the date because the customer asks for one on the phone. The crew finds out at the kerb. Every one of those is either a wasted day or a system installed and left switched off, and neither is something the customer forgets.

Margin foregone$109,000
The real cost is not the driving, it is the fifty-one installs that did not happen. A crew collecting a serial number in Toowoomba is a crew not fitting a system in Ipswich, and at $2,140 of margin a job that is where the money actually goes.
Both numbers vanish if the tablet will not let the job close without the pack. It is the cheapest fix in the business and the only one that needs no new equipment.
